Office updates!
If you have an appointment in either of our offices, please come inside to check in. If you feel more comfortable waiting in your car, just give the receptionist your cell phone number and your nurse will call you back in when your room is ready.
Even during the pandemic, we remain open 7 days a week (weekends reserved for acute visits) and for the time being, all weekend sick appointments will be booked in Kirkville, we hope to open our Liverpool office on weekends as soon as feasibly possible due to staffing constraints.
We ask for your patience with wait times on the phones, in the office, and with scheduling physicals.
If you get a busy signal, it’s not that no one is answering phones or that they are left off the hook, the phones are just inundated and we are taking calls in the order they arrive. If you don’t get through, please be patient and try again.
If it’s a true emergency, call 911.
Our staff is working diligently to get to everyone, but in the current situation, wait and response times may not be what you are used to from us.
COVID Testing 7 days a week
We offer testing 7 days a week! We have RAPID PCR COVID testing that takes about 20 minutes for symptomatic patients as well as strep and flu testing in addition to our routine labs. Our COVID test is a nasal swab (not the uncomfortable nasopharyngeal test) and just swabs the front of the nose. You can book an appointment by calling either office. Rapid testing will be first come first served while supplies last. We also offer testing for asymptomatic patients (example: for travel, school or work), however unfortunately we are not yet able to use the rapid PCR test due to lack of insurance coverage so these tests will be sent out to the local lab and have results back within 48 hours usually (but not guarenteed).
COVID vaccine questions
We have ordered vaccine for children under 5 and are awaiting our first shipment. We will start scheduling patients once we have vaccine in stock.
Pfizer
We are proud to offer the Pfizer COVID vaccine for ages 5-11. Call to schedule vaccination M-F during normal business hours. You will be scheduling 2 appointments 3 weeks apart. Keep checking back here and our facebook page for updates on the younger age groups! For the time-being, you must be a current patient at CHCA, however you can also check here https://covid19.ongov.net/vaccine/ for other community options for getting your family vaccinated!
Moderna
We were privileged that CHCA is one of the practices nationwide approved to participate in the Pediatric Moderna COVID19 Vaccine trial. The trial is currently not accepting new patients. Vaccine studies are how all new vaccines get approved and subsequently recommended for routine preventative care. Every current vaccine went through a similar process.
Thank you for your continued support, we are all in this together!
